Anáil contains three tracks recorded in the early hours of the morning in the sacred ancient ruins of Lorrha. These acoustic recordings provide the backdrop to a meditation practice. There is no right or wrong way to meditate - this is your personal time and space, use it as best suits your needs. These recordings allow you, the listener, the opportunity to gently take yourself on a journey to quieten your mind. As you sit to listen: Be comfortable, Be warm, Be non-judgmental Breathe...notice your breath going out and coming back in... Listen... When you find your thoughts are wandering, as is natural for them to do (our brains are designed to constantly process information), bring your attention back to your breathing... and listening... If feelings arise, whether anger or sadness or joy, acknowledge these feelings as if they are welcome friends who have come to visit, and continue breathing...and listening... The sounds might evoke memories or physical sensations, accept these as they are in the here and now, and let them be as they are, and continue breathing ...and listening... Meditation is like taking your mind on a holiday, away from the rush and bustle of everyday life. You can choose how long that time away might be. You can choose in which abbey you would like to sit amongst the stones and history, surrounded by sounds of life, interspersed with silence.
